Robby is a professional race car driver
from St. Petersburg, Florida.
He began his racing career at just five years old on a dirt bike purchased by his father, who shared the same passion for competition in motor sports. Following eighteen years of racing across the country on two wheels and collecting multiple championships, as well as a college degree, his focus shifted toward other forms of racing.
In November of 2012, Robby reached out to now-best-friend and crew chief, Brandon Thomson. Shortly after being introduced, the two quickly bonded and within one year’s time became an unstoppable force in Legend Car competition across the United States; amassing 16 wins, 22 top 5’s and 30 top 10’s in 30 starts, as well as 3 championships during the 2014 season. Shortly after, the two parted ways as Robby moved to Charlotte, NC to continue chasing his dream of racing in NASCAR.
After arriving in North Carolina, he founded a partnership with super late model ace, Chad Finley. The 2015 CARS Tour campaign was plagued with bad luck and unpredictable mechanical failures. However, during the shortened stint in the high powered stock cars, Robby managed to insert himself strongly into a world filled with NASCAR super stars such as Chase Elliott, John Hunter Nemecheck, William Byron and Daniel Hemric. Besting many of them lap-for-lap.
From a 1250cc Legend Car to an 800hp ARCA stock car. A short 1/4 mile race track to the massive 2.5 mile Daytona International Speedway. Robby Lyons has made a name for himself in the world of auto racing and has shown time and time again that he belongs. See you in victory lane. #2thefront.
